Checkpost

How to hide local delivery on Sundays in Shopify

Short answer: Hide the local delivery option on the days your drivers don't work. In Checkpost, choose “No local delivery on Sundays” from Templates, adjust the values, test it, then save and enable the rule.

The problem

If your drivers don't work on Sundays, a shopper choosing local delivery on Sunday expects a delivery you can't make, and you're left calling to rearrange it.

How to set it up

  1. Install Checkpost from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Open Templates and choose No local delivery on Sundays.
  3. Pick the days and the name of your local delivery rate.
  4. Use Try this rule to test a sample cart, then click Save rule.

The rule

Hide delivery methods containing "Local delivery" when all of these conditions is true:

Shoppers see no message: the methods are changed before checkout shows them.

Where this rule works

This changes existing delivery options; it does not create rates, change their prices or configure pickup. Address conditions are evaluated for each delivery group's own address. Product-tag conditions inspect the whole cart. Verify that an eligible delivery option remains.
